Sunday, October 11, 2009 a.m.

Sunday, October 11, 2009 a.m., 31 degrees, partly cloudy, wind 3-5 W-SW mph, sunrise 7:22 a.m. (Hunting opens 6:52 a.m). Flying solo again, I decided to give the Point a try. As I was walking in under the cover of darkness, I saw the flash go off on the Cuddeback over by the apple tree. Something must have been hanging out over there that I spooked on my way in. I was all settled in by 6:35 a.m. Nothing!?!? Very surprised. I went and check the cameras and got some pictures of a small buck. See above. When I got to the VAT food plot there were 2 fawns feeding in it. I got to within 30 yards before they spooked. Totals: Bob - 0 deer.
