Sunday, November 8, 2009 a.m.

Sunday, November 8, 2009 a.m., 34 degrees, mostly sunny, wind E-SE 0-2 mph, sunrise 6:47 a.m. (Hunting opens 6:17 a.m). Things cooled off overnight, but they are predicting another unseasonable warm fall day. Lon decided to try the wood ladder stand behind the two barns. I went to Rock Out. I left my car in the valley on the north side of the bridge and walked over from there. I was all settled in with Stubby by 5:45 a.m. At 6:40 a.m., I heard a deer blow a warning call down in the valley to the NE of me. I am not sure how it could have smelled me. At 7:40 a.m., I heard what I am assuming was a buck chasing a doe on the hill side to the E-SE of me. That was it. Where are all the deer?? Totals: Bob - 0 deer, Lon - 0.
