Sunday, October 5, 2008 a.m.

Sunday, October 5, 2008 a.m., 45 degrees, mostly cloudy, rain, wind E-SE 5 mph., sunrise 7:06 a.m. (hunting opens 6:36 a.m.) After a short nights sleep (Steve and I drove back from Madison after the badger football game), we decided to head out and try our luck in the same stands as yesterday on the north side of Hwy 171. We were settle into our stands by 6:05 a.m. By 6:40 a.m., we were welcomed with a slight drizzle. We sat in the rain until 7:30 a.m., when I finally determined that it was not going to stop raining. It is not fun getting wet, and even worse yet tracking a deer in the rain. In hind sight, I am glad we got down because it continue to rain the better part of the day. Unfortunately, I am off in South Dakota for the week, so there will be no hunting until the weekend. Good luck to all. Totals: 0 deer.
