Tuesday, November 4, 2008 p.m. Election Day
Tuesday, November 4, 2008 p.m., 64 degrees, mostly sunny, wind S 10-15 mph, sunset 4:58 p.m. (Hunting closes 5:28 p.m). I got out late tonight, so I decided to give the food plot a try. The wind was perfect, and I figured the bucks are going to have to start looking for the does soon. The food plot camera has produced a lot of doe photos to date, but very few bucks. Taylor beat me out here, and he went to the "X." At 5:05 p.m., Taylor spotted a small 6-8 pointer that was NE of him near Arlie's. It came towards him, but must have gotten downwind of him as it spooked back to the north and joined a doe that was in Arlie's pasture. At 5:15 p.m., Taylor spotted the big 8 to the SE of him. He must have come from over by the ladder and it went to the SE right by the Ridgeback stand. At 5:30 p.m., Bob spotted a big deer cruising the ridge line up by the house to the NW and was headed towards the creek bottom. Totals: Bob - 1 deer, 1 ?, Taylor - 3 deer, 2 bucks and 1 doe.
