Friday, October 3, 2008 p.m., 62 degrees, mostly sunny, wind S-SE 2-5 mph, sunset 6:44 p.m. (Hunting close 7:14 p.m). After an eventful afternoon of moving and clearing out shooting lanes for two portable hanging stands, I decided it was time to do a little hunting. I decided that the wind was right and I really hadn't disturbed the area up by acorn alley. I got into the stand and was all settled by 5:00 p.m. All I heard was turkeys that flew up at the end of the night to the south of me. Totals: 0 deer
