Saturday, October 28, 2023 am Sunrise 7:34 am. Hunting opens at 7:04 am. Temperature 35 degrees. Wind: N 4-6 mph. Mostly sunny. We drove down last night as a family to Copper Creek. I decided to get out for a few hours before heading to Madison for the Badger game versus Ohio State. I decided to give Good Will Hunting stand a shot. I was ready to go by 6:45 am. At 7:18 am I heard and then saw a small doe on the trail to the SW of me. She ended up heading towards the south. At 8:18 am, I had a small doe and nubbin buck come across the hill to the east of me going south to north. I then looked to the north of me and there was a small fork horn down by the camera. He saw the doe n nubbin and went up the hill towards them. I then saw 2 other does up the hill to the east of me. The fork starts to chase one of the does and he ended up chasing her off to the NE. The doe and nubbin came down the hill and into the valley past the camera and walked down the trail to the north of me. I sat until 9:45 am and got down to trim a few branches and head in for the game. Totals: Bob - 6 deer. 5 does and fawns and one small buck.

Sunday, October 15, 2023 pm Sunset 6:26 pm Hunting closes at 6:56 pm Temperature
53degrees. Wind: N-NW 10-12 mph. Mostly sunny. Charley asked if we could go out
hunting tonight. I couldn’t pass up a sit with my good luck charm. We were in
and ready to go by 4:45 pm at the VAT in Cannon Falls. I have only one decent
135-140” 10 pointer on camera so far this year. It would be great to shoot a
nice fat doe if given the opportunity. We will see. It was a beautiful night,
but we didn’t see anything. Totals: Bob and Charley- 0 deer.
