Saturday, September 17, 2022 pm Sunset 7:14 pm Hunting closes at 7:44 pm Temperature 76 degrees. Mostly sunny Wind: S-SE 7-10 mph. It was raining this morning, so I decided to sleep in. Heidi and I r both out tonight. I am in the ladder stand and Heidi is at the Apple Tree. Charley let Gertie out after we went out and she ended up follow Heidi down into the valley. I had to get down and call her back up to the house. The 2022 season has gotten off to a rough start. At 6:55 pm, I heard some mewing to the north of me and a small doe walked through about 5-6 yards from the base of my tree. At 7:00 pm, I had a nice big fat doe and 2 fawns come in from the south, but they went behind me. No shot opportunity. I did watch both of them take some mile from their mom. Cool to watch. At 7:20 pm, I had a small doe come in to the SE of me. She got to about 20 yards and turned and went south. Behind he was another doe that ended up circling around me to the NE. That was it. Totals: Bob 6 deer. All does and fawns.
