Thursday, December 26 2019 pm Sunset 4:37 pm. Hunting closes 5:07 pm. Temperature 29 degrees. Mostly cloudy Wind: N-NW 5-10 mph. I decided to go to the Stump blind tonight. I was in and ready to go by 3:20 pm after removing a mouse nest and a mouse to vacate my blind. It took a couple of minutes, but he finally jumped out the window. At 4:20 pm, I looked over to the NW towards the AT stand, and there was a nice big doe up on the trail about 80 yards away. She must have smelled something she didn’t like because she walked back up towards the west. At 4:30 pm, I looked up and there was another doe and 3 Tom turkeys up by the AT. At 4:40 pm, I looked out to the NE and there was a doe with 2 fawns about 50 yards away. The does ended up walking over across the stream cut through and up towards the chestnuts/Apple Tree. That was it. Totals: 5 deer. 5 does and fawns.
